Privacy Policy

Last updated: [today's date, e.g. 11 July 2026]

Fairweather is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does and doesn't do with your information.

What Fairweather collects

Nothing. Fairweather does not collect, store, or transmit personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.

Location

If you allow it, Fairweather uses your device's location for a single purpose: to show the weather for where you are. Your location is sent to Apple's WeatherKit service only to retrieve that forecast. It is not stored by us, not linked to your identity, and never sold or shared with anyone. You can use the app without location access by searching for a city instead, and you can turn location access off at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

Weather data

Weather information is provided by Apple Weather (WeatherKit). Apple's handling of that request is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Children

Fairweather does not collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
